Together in partnership with the Textile Arts Guild of Richmond (TAGOR) and the Richmond Media Lab, Richmond Public Library is pleased to announce a unique commemorative project that you can contribute to!

TAGOR received a City of Richmond Canada 150 grant for a one-of-a-kind project called Our Canadian Bookcase in which, together with the community, expert TAGOR quilters will create a hanging quilt featuring 150 Canadian authors. All 150 authors represented in the hanging quilt will be nominated by the public. The finished hanging quilt will be a work of art, recognizing great Canadian writers and representing our community’s favourite storytellers.

This hanging quilt will be unveiled to the public at a special event on Thursday, June 15th at the Brighouse branch, and in the months to follow, it will travel throughout the community at a series of viewing events.
